
The members of Findon Swimming Club and their children must strictly adhere to the pool rules and neither the club members nor the committee accept any responsibility or liability for injuries sustained by any person during any lawful or unlawful use of the pool.
POOL RULES
1. No unaccompanied children under the age of ten. Children under 10 must attend with someone aged 14+ responsible for their behaviour.
2. Unaccompanied children 10 and over swim with the permission of their parents and are NOT the sole responsibility of the pool attendants.
3. Children should not swim for 24 hours after diarrhoea and/or vomiting.
4. Babies should wear plastic pants.
5. If someone has a verruca, a verruca sock must be worn at all times in the pool and surrounding area.
6. No diving, wrestling, bombing or rowdy behaviour.
7. No running around the pool.
8. No pushing or throwing people in the pool.
9. No backwards jumping from the pool side.
10. Floats are to be used as swimming aids only.
11. No playing on the steps.
12. Exit the pool by steps only.
13. Use of the slide is forbidden at all times.
14. When pool attendant blows a long blast on the whistle the pool must be vacated immediately.
15. No animals around pool area. Dogs not permitted on school premises.
16. No glass objects inside of the perimeter fencing of the pool, designated the pool grounds.
17. Smoking and Vaping are NOT permitted.
18. Food and drink is not permitted in pool grounds apart from plastic water and sports bottles
19. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry.
20. Use of the school grounds is not permitted without prior booking.
21. Car park only for use at weekends / school holidays.

PROCEDURE FOR UNRULY BEHAVIOUR
1. Supervisor will blow the whistle to alert the swimmer of behaviour.
2. Should the behaviour continue, he/she will be asked to leave the pool.
3. Once re-entering the pool, should the behaviour continue, the swimmer will be asked to leave the swimming pool for the rest of the swimming session.
4. The name of the swimmer will be recorded and will be reported to the Chairman.
SUPERVISORS ON DUTY SHOULD ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Two Pool Supervisors should keep a vigilant eye on the pool at ALL times.
2. The Pool Supervisors should position themselves at either end of the pool. The Supervisor at the deep end must stay next to the slide to ensure it is not used. The supervisor seated at the shallow end may also be responsible for admitting the swimmers and taking the entrance fee. Once more than 20 swimmers are in the water a third person must take over this role.
3. The Pool Supervisors must not swim whilst on duty.
4. Supervisors must have whistles at all times.
5. Supervisors must not use phones except in emergencies.
